The Story Behind Media Flow 

The idea for Media Flow came from a simple frustration: managing media playback on a PC while away from the keyboard. Whether it was pausing a movie during a snack run or skipping a track while working, the constant back-and-forth felt unnecessary. 

I wanted a solution that was simple, intuitive, and efficient—a way to control VLC media playback remotely without any hassle. That’s how Media Flow began.

But as I worked on it, I realized there was potential for more. Streaming media to a phone or tablet could make it even more convenient, allowing users to enjoy their personal media libraries anywhere within their home. The key was ensuring that privacy remained a priority: no sharing, no unauthorized downloads—just a tool for people to enjoy the content they own. 

At first, I was honestly a bit lazy. I thought, "Maybe a basic VLC remote is enough." But as the app gained traction and almost 50,000 downloads, I saw how much users appreciated it. That motivated me to push further—to add features, improve usability, and think ahead to what users might want next, like an iOS version or a blockchain-powered token system for premium features. 

Media Flow is the result of that journey: a labor of love, shaped by practical needs and driven by the support of its growing community.
